Leander Johnson is based currently in Portland, Maine.
Leander’s work in photography is a life-long experiment using a range of cameras – from a Leica and disposable cameras, to a vintage Holga. Inspired by 60′s American, British and French cinemas and photography and inspired from many Directors and photographers such as Leon Johnson, Anton Corbjin, Gus Van Sant, Lindsay Anderson, Danny Lyon and many others.
Leander’s work in sound design is also very experimental using electronic sounds stemming from a Korg keyboard while drawing inspiration from bands like Dntel, Sigur Ros, Amiina, and FM3
